What it means to follow Christ
God did not create man because he needed a servant. He created man because He wanted someone who would manifest His character and His nature. Service for God is not the primary purpose of our salvation in Christ.
Our Father in heaven and the Holy Spirit in our hearts are both working towards one goal – to make us like Jesus. The more we become like our Lord in character, the more we will live on earth as He lived. This and this alone is the Spirit-filled life. Anyone who says he is a Christian should live as Christ did.
